about us

About Us

Our vision is to be the leading destination in Nova Scotia for judgement free, inclusive play, known for our sensory-aware design, and commitment to helping people reconnect.

Our mission is to create affordable, inclusive spaces where people can disconnect to reconnect with each other, while being authentically themselves.

Here we live by our core values:

  • Accountability: We own our actions and lead with integrity — every decision reflects our commitment to families and our community.
  • Inclusivity: Rushland is designed with sensory‑aware features, accessible layouts, and equipment that supports neurodiverse children and adults.
  • Safety: We prioritize physical and emotional safety so everyone can play happily, healthily, and confidently.
  • Family: We believe in real connection — creating meaningful, screen‑free moments for families and friends to enjoy together.
  • Community: We partner with local organizations, schools, and businesses to create a space that reflects the heart of Cumberland County.
  • Supporting Local: Whenever possible, we choose Nova Scotia makers, creators, and small businesses — because local thrives when local supports local.
  • Wellness: Play is for everyone. Kids, teens, adults — anyone who needs a moment to reconnect with their inner child belongs here.

Rushland will act as a central hub for families across Cumberland County. Parents will spend an average of 60–120 minutes in our space, creating a perfect opportunity for local businesses to connect with a highly engaged, family‑focused audience. Before major holidays, Rushland will offer limited‑time advertising placements for local businesses at affordable rates, designed to help boost sales during peak shopping periods. This is a simple, effective way to increase businesses visibility and to increase your holiday sales. Our digital screens offer affordable, hyper‑local advertising that supports a new community space while giving your business consistent visibility.
